Performing Artist
One of Heidi's favorite forms of expressing herself is through live performance. Whether it's playing chamber music, collaborating on vocal/instrumental recitals or as a solo artist, she has a unique gift of intimately sharing her personal journey with standing room only audiences. She has a keen way of connecting with her musical partners and audience members as though they are having a one on one experience.

Reunited with her former piano student, Soprano, Kirsten C. Kunkle; Heidi was excited to play an afternoon of Hungarian and Gypsy Folk Music. A variety of moods ranging from dance to somber memoirs, these Songs from composers Anton Dvorak and Johannes Brahms made for a delightful homage to Heidi's family heritage.

Nocturnes

2018 was a year of loss and healing for Heidi with the death of her mother and several other friends and family. She found herself immersed in the world of Nocturnes to aide in her grief process. This recital was her opportunity to share her journey of healing through this beautiful style of music. Local composer, Kate Koepfer wrote a Nocturne for Heidi which was premiered at the event.

The Senior Recital

At age 26, Heidi was unable to perform her Solo Senior Piano Recital at the University of Toledo due to a hand injury. Fortunately, she was able to return to the world of music 20 years later as a Collaborative Artist. For 26 years she had not performed a solo recital, until now. Under the direction of her former professor, Frances Renzi, Heidi prepared and performed her dream recital at her alma mater on November 20, 2016.

Duo Piano Collaborations
Heidi has had many amazing opportunities to collaborate with other pianists for benefit concerts, as well as her own recitals with her friends, mentors, teachers and students.
Chamber Music

In March of 2015, Heidi and Friends presented a chamber concert as part of Trinity Episcopal's Artist Series. It was a benefit concert to raise money for Bowling Green State University's Heidi Fern Clausius' Masters of Music Scholarship. Friends from the Toledo music community, as well as her daughter, Allison and her violin professor, played a variety of Baroque and Romantic selections accompanied by Heidi on the piano and harpsichord.
